Henry County unemployment jumps to 10% | Business
NAPOLEON, OH (Toledo News Now) – Henry County’s unemployment rated increased to 10 percent in January, up from 7.4 percent in December of last year.
Nearly all Ohio counties saw an increase in unemployment rate in January as seasonal jobs disappeared. Rural counties seem to have been hit the hardest.
Still, unemployment in Henry County is down a half a percent since January of 2012.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services estimates there are 13,500 employed Henry County residents, with 1,500 still looking for work.
