Henry County unemployment falls to 8.9% | Business
NAPOLEON, OH (Toledo News Now) – Unemployment fell by a full percentage point in Henry County in March.
The jobless rate dropped to 8.9 percent, down from 9.9 percent a month earlier.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services estimates there are 13,600 employed Henry County residents, with 1,300 still looking for work.
Henry County’s unemployment rate is below where it was in March of 2012, when the county sat at 9.9 percent unemployment. The county is well above the statewide average for unemployment, which was reported at 7.6 percent in March.
